Introduction

When things aren’t exactly going your way and it doesn’t look like there is hope on the horizon, the song you sing or want to sing to make you feel better is the Blues.
It may be the traditional “my baby left me, my dog died, my boss fired me, I’m doin’ time in the slammer, this job, this marriage, in this town, and I miss my momma, cuz’ I’m motherless, and my daddy was a rolling stone gambler, my woman is mean, is heartless, is a rounder, I’m a rounder, I’m your back door man, another mule is kicking in my stall, I got no home, and I’m walking to Dallas, New Orleans, Chicago, Memphis, St. Louis, Kansas City, pour me another round of bourbon, scotch, beer, bartender, cuz’ it’s last call for alcohol, and shake that money maker” kinda blues.
Maybe it is just a new pop tune on the radio that does it for you. Maybe it is not a song at all. Your own personal style of blues can be anything that brings a smile to your face and lets you forget about “it”, whatever “it” may be for you.
That is where Bicycle Blues comes in. If your brand of Blues is getting on a bike and riding to forget your troubles, shake off the stress, straighten up the mess the day has made of your mind, or just because you like it and don’t know why, then this is the place for you.

Above is the original introduction to Bicycle Blues. While this site has ended up being something a little different, I felt it important to leave the original introduction as it stands. I like it. And it makes sense to me. I hope it does to you, too.
